Jean-Louis Orengo had the original idea of creating a multi tool during an expedition in the Canadian Far North.
This French naturalist drew on animal footprints to design GEORGETTE.
Chance encounters with engineers and a chef granted the outcome: every detail has been refined and perfected.

The origin

The adventurer Jean-Louis Orengo, a French naturalist, looking for lighter sleighs during the preparation of its expedition in the Canadian Far North, decided with his teammate Lin Bourdais to get rid of forks and to keep spoons, considering their versatility. On site, the experience was that a fork was sometimes missing. The idea of a tool combining a fork and a spoon came. The first prototypes created great excitement far beyond the criteria of practicality!

The design

Passionate about ichnology, a science that studies fossil tracks, Jean-Louis Orengo got inspired by animal footprints to design GEORGETTE tool.

Every GEORGETTE is stamped with a wolf footprint.

GEORGETTE curved shapes perfectly fit with the ergonomics of our hand. The asymmetric handle combined with its larger end help comfortably holding in the palm of the hand and give strenght to the index for cutting actions.

2,5 tools in 1

A spoon, a fork and various dividing functions replacing a knife in one single tool: this is the concept of the innovation. Its tapered edge is thin enough to cut most foods.

Eating together in a single bite a solid food with its sauce is delightful! Perfect for risotto, pastas, noddles, soups, omelettes, quiches, tarts, asian food...

Use GEORGETTE for appetizers, starters, main courses and desserts.

GEORGETTE is THE ideal unique utensil for standing cocktails and buffet dinners, where everyone is looking for an extra hand!
